BDC Building Design Compliance
David Swinson is the director of BDC Building Design Compliance Pty Ltd. BDC was established to provide solutions for architects and building designers that are outcome focused. David has worked in the building industry for over 20 years in a range of roles including fire safety consultant, building surveyor, facility manager and commercial builder.
David is a registered building surveyor (BS-U15988) and is eligible to determine alternative solutions under the fire performance requirements in the Building Regulations 2006.
David has an ongoing commitment to industry learning about the building regulations and the BCA. From Universities to TAFE and Industry Associations, including AIRAH, AIBS, REIV and the FPAA, David regularly presents papers at conferences and seminars on a range of related regulatory issues and topics. David is currently working on a range of educational training modules for architects and their staff.
